Kangana Ranaut slams Bollywood after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise

Kangana Ranaut has once again slammed Bollywood, saying it never recognized the talent of Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress also called out a section of the movie fraternity as well as the media for projecting the actor's "weak mind" as the reason for his suicide death.

Several Bollywood actors and filmmakers have called for an inward look, questioning the role of the 'Bollywood mafia' in the apparent suicide of a promising 34-year-old actor who managed to carve his niche without a godfather in the industry.

Kangana Ranaut, being vocal about the issue released a video reiterating the same on social media. In a 2-minute video shared on Kangana Ranaut's official Instagram handle, Kangana says, "The demise of Sushant Singh Rajput has shaken us, but some people say those who have a weak mind get depressed and die from suicide. A guy who has a scholarship from Stanford... he is a rank holder of his engineering entrance, how can his mind be weak?"

The video was shared along with a caption that read, "It is important to give talent their due. And if celebrities are struggling with personal and mental health issues, the media should try and emphasize with them, rather than making it difficult for them!"

She goes on to add that some of the last posts from Sushant prove he was requesting people to watch his movies otherwise he would be thrown out of the industry as he "didn't have a godfather". Taking this into reference, Kangana added that despite his great lineup of movies like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kedarnath and Chhichhore, he didn't get any recognition or awards.

Kangana also called out the many rumours mongers and "paid journalist" who wrote pieces claiming he was "psychotic, neurotic and addict."

She also went on to claim that she received messages from people stating she's in a very 'difficult time' and advising her not to take such a drastic step.

"Why would you tell me that? Why would you like to put the idea of suicide into my mind? "She was asking. Kangana further alleged, "Ye suicide nahi, planned murder tha"

Sushant was an outsider, much like Kangana herself, who made his name based on his good work. While in Bollywood nepotism is a constant where only star children seem to get the big projects, outsiders often lose out. But Kangana adds not wanting their movies, all they want is recognition for their work.
