Brad Pitt matches Jennifer Aniston's $1 million donation to aid racial justice

Hollywood actor Brad Pitt donated $1 million to, Color of Change, a racial justice organisation in the wake of African-American man George Floyd’s demise in, Minnesota, USA.

The US-based organisation is the largest online racial justice organisation in the country, working to culminate “practices that unfairly hold black people back”.

Pitt has reportedly given $1 million to racial justice organisation, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"Brad is really involved with the charity because of Jen and said he would match her donation. He went to the protests this week and was at her home the day after. They are both very passionate and want to help as much as they can," said a source.

The news came in light after his former wife and actress Jennifer Aniston donated $1 million to aid racial justice, Hollywood star Brad Pitt has reportedly followed in her footsteps.

At the beginning of this month, the Good Girl actor posted a video of American novelist James Baldwin and wrote, "This week has been heartbreaking for so many reasons. We need to acknowledge that the racism and brutality in this country has been going on for a long time—and it’s NEVER been okay. As allies, who want equality and peace, it’s our responsibility to make noise, to demand justice, to educate ourselves on these issues, and more than anything, to spread love. How much more time are we willing to let pass without change? HOW MUCH MORE TIME? Text FLOYD to 55156 and sign the @colorofchange petition to have all four of the officers who killed #GeorgeFloyd arrested."

According to Entertainment Tonight, Aniston secretly donated money to several charities, including Colors Of Change, an organisation formed in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to use online resources to strengthen the political voice of African Americans, earlier this month. Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper reported that Pitt had donated the same amount after being "deeply affected" by the death of African-American George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Brad and Jenifer got married in 2000 in the USA but separated in 2005. In January, at the 2020 Golden Globes, both actors sparked rumours that they might come together.
