Marathi film industry stars come together to battle coronavirus

To curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has imposed a nationwide lockdown from March 25 till April 14. The lockdown, due to the coronavirus pandemic, has forced many people to stay home. It has hit the routine and livelihood of millions. And now it’s beginning to affect mental health too. Due to the countrywide lockdown, people are feeling scared and lonely.

While staying put within the four walls of the home is the only solution as of now, it is also essential to ensure that people don’t feel lonely. For that, many Marathi film stars have stepped forward.

Artistes from the Marathi film industry has extended their care in the time of the outbreak. In the wake of coronavirus and lockdown, Marathi stars are doing its bit by creating awareness among people.

Marathi celebrities including Deepali Sayyed, Hardik Joshi, Manasi Naik, Devdutt Nage, Sandeep Pathak, Sanskruti Balgude, Abhinay Berde, Akshaya Deodhar, Punit Balan, Smita Shevale, Bhargavi Chirmule, Kiran Gaikwad, Pushkar Jog, Smita Gondkar, Suyash Tilak and Sangram Salvi have joined hands to prepare a message for people that says, “All of us are in the same situation right now. So, don’t think that you are alone in this. For the safety of all, stay home and take care.”

On the other side, the Bollywood brigade is also connecting with people through social media. Recently, Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Jackky Bhagnani came together to back a special song called ‘Muskurayega India’ to show solidarity as an industry. The song is composed by Vishal Mishra and stars Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal, Tiger Shroff, Kartik Aaryan, Taapsee Pannu, Kriti Sanon, Sidharth Malhotra and Ananya Panday.

Meanwhile, the cases in India are on the rise, with Maharashtra being the worst hit with over 1,350 positive patients.
