Pune Police help woman meet her pregnant, blind daughter

"Due to lockdown in the state, it was difficult to shift Sapna's mother Padmavati from Latur to Pune. We then came to know that one of our policeman police naik Daud Sayyed was on leave and was in Latur. We then asked Sayyed to facilitate Padmavati's commute from Latur to Pune, and we are glad that we were able to help the couple," added Jagtap.

Pune: The city police helped a woman commute from Latur to Pune to meet her pregnant daughter on Friday. As per information shared by Police Inspector Mahendra Jagtap of crime branch unit 2, a blind couple Vishwanath Navle and Sapna Navle stay near Nal Stop, Erandwane. They had requested for help to DCP Bachhan Singh.

Police Inspector Jagtap said that as Sapna is pregnant and she needed help, but her mother lives in Latur.

"Due to lockdown in the state, it was difficult to shift Sapna's mother Padmavati from Latur to Pune. We then asked Sayyed to facilitate Padmavati's commute from Latur to Pune, and we are glad that we were able to help the couple," added Jagtap.
