Coronavirus Pune: City witnesses record 620 cases in a day

Graph of the novel coronavirus is not flattening its curve in Pune as 620 COVID-19 cases were reported in the city in one day.

Pune which is already an epicentre of the coronavirus is spreading around the city with a rapid speed. From past few days, the cases are rising even in the 'Green Zones' of the city. On Sunday, the new record of 620 cases was reported in Pune city. Earlier, 478 was the highest record number reported.

171 people were recovered from the infection and were discharged from the hospital whereas six lost lives amid the COVID-19. 

From past few days, Pune city is witnessing a surge in COVID-19 cases. From last 7 days, the number of patients found positive is not less than 300 (daily). Now, in last 24 hours, 620 cases have been reported in the city. 

After the ease on relaxations on 'Unlock', the positive cases are increasing day-by-day as norms of social distancing are flouted in many parts of the city.

Pune, till date has reported over 12,000 coronavirus cases with 510 fatalities. According to reports, the cases may rise in upcoming days as the offices, markets and more have been opened and people who once followed a strict lockdown by staying inside at homes now have been seen outside for the work.

Also, the traffic is been observed in many areas of the city with social distancing and other guidelines are not being followed.
