Coronavirus Pune: 99 new cases found in city, 7 more deaths reported

Pune: As per Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), seven people died on Sunday and 99 new cases were reported in the city taking the total of coronavirus cases to 1,817.

55 patients were discharged after recovery taking the total to 433 so far.

DEATHS IN PUNE DUE TO COVID-19
A 65-year male, 50-year-old female and a 61-year-old male died on Sunday at Sassoon General Hospital (SGH). All the three patients had hypertension as their comorbidity.

In another case, a 60-year-old woman died on Saturday and was tested positive for COVID-19 on late night Saturday.

A 24-year-old woman died early morning on Sunday at SGH. She had tuberculosis (TB) and was tested positive on April 29.

A 59-year-old female and a 66-year-old female died of COVID-19 at a private hospital in Pune on Sunday.

PIMPRI-CHINCHWAD UPDATE
In Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), there are a total of 121 positive patients and so far 5 patients have lost their lives due to COVID-19.

PUNE DIVISION
As per Pune Divisional Commissioner, Dr Deepak Mhaisekar, 60 new cases were reported in Pune division with the total of 2,147.

"In the Pune division 113 deaths are reported and 72 are critical till Saturday. Pune district has 1,912 cases and so far 103 people have died due to COVID-19 in the district. Satara so far has reported 74 cases and two deaths. Solapur has reported 114 cases and six deaths. Sangli has reported 33 cases and one death. And Kolhapur has reported 14 cases and one death so far," said Mhaisekar.

CASES IN MAHARASHTRA
- 115 patients discharged on Sunday in Maharashtra. A total of 2115 COVID-19 patients discharged after full recovery until Sunday.
- 678 new cases reported in the state on Sunday. The state tally now goes over 12,974.
- On Sunday, 27 deaths among COVID-19 patients in Maharashtra.
