City temples to be closed

Sarasbaug and shops in the Market Yard will also be closed on Thursday. Meanwhile, no decision has been taken as yet by trustees of Chatuhshrungi temple.

PUNE: Taking cognisance of the fact that Pune has reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases, trustees of Dagdusheth Ganpati mandir, Kasba Ganpati, Mahalaxmi Mandir and Jejuri temple, in addition to several temples, have decided to shut down from Tuesday to Thursday. 

Sarasbaug and shops in the Market Yard will also be closed on Thursday. Meanwhile, no decision has been taken as yet by trustees of Chatuhshrungi temple. Trustee Devendra Agnal said, “We have been taking all necessary steps as a preventive measure and we have called a meeting of officials and then a decision will be taken.” 

DOOR-TO-DOOR SURVEY
The PMC formed 125 teams and conducted a door-to-door survey of 397 houses in Nagar Road ward office area on Monday. They enquired if anyone is showing COVID-19 like symptoms and also spread awareness about the facilities at Naidu Hospital.
