TTK Prestige launches ‘Svachh’ pressure cooker

PUNE: TTK Prestige on Wednesday unveiled plans for 2020, aimed at increasing market share across geographies and getting back to double-digit growth in mature categories like pressure cookers. The company also launched ‘Svachh’ an innovative range of pressure cookers that is the first ‘no mess’ pressure cooker in India.

“The cooker is design registered and has been applied for a patent. The lid of the cooker has been specially designed to control any spillage and ensures that the froth stays on the lid. This addresses a massive pain point for every home cook of having to clean a messy kitchen and reducing the amount of time that one spends in the kitchen,” said TTK Prestige Managing Director Chandru Kalro.

The cooker can be used on both induction and gas stoves, is available in aluminium, stainless steel and hard anodised and is available Rs 1,325 onwards.

Kalro said, “TTK Prestige is constantly innovating to introduce interesting kitchen appliances to ease the day-to-day lives of our customers. We are the leaders of cookers in the country, with our competitors around five per cent points behind us.”

Home appliances, cookware are the essentials of the households, but people will buy those whenever required. But that does not mean we can take it for granted. The consumer sentiment today is such that people try not to splurge and they may postpone changing their appliances like cookers or gas stoves in face of the slowdowns. Hence, we need to continue doing special things to retain our customer base.”
