T-Systems ICT India opens new facility in Pune

PUNE: Aiming at expanding its service offerings, T-Systems ICT India Private Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of T-Systems International (a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom), on Tuesday announced the opening of a state-of-the-art 4,00,000 sq feet facility in Balewadi.

The company has also announced that it will make long-term investments to significantly scale its current 1,500 person workforce to 5,000 in the country over the next two to three years. The company currently runs its operations from Pune, Bengaluru and Gurgaon. 

The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mumbai Dr Jürgen Morhard, CEO, T-Systems International and Board Member Deutsche Telekom Adel Al-Saleh, Senior Vice President - Global Point of Production Network, T-Systems International GmbH Marco Dubanowski and Managing Director,  T-Systems ICT India Pvt Ltd Laszlo Posset.

Speaking at the inauguration event,  Adel Al-Saleh said, “The investment in the new facility reiterates the strategic importance of India in the T-Systems global business roadmap. We continue to grow with our vision to become a global leader and build an integrated portfolio of scalable digital services with our robust software solutions.”

The CEO, Adel Al-Saleh also said that the company will nurture talent in Pune and the new facility will help T-Systems global customers to achieve their digital transformation vision with its increased software development capabilities in new generation digital technologies, such as the cloud, big data, machine learning, robotics, automation and IoT (Internet of Things).

“For us, Hungary, Slovakia, Russia and India are four important centres for the development of our systems. We have a strong presence in application management services, digital skills, cybersecurity, Internet of things and other services. We have a strong cyber defence system which handles millions of cyber attacks on a daily basis,” added Adel Al-Saleh.

The company will also build the centre as an innovation hub and invest in skilling its employees to work on the cloud, data analytics and mobile apps to provide high-calibre analytics and automation-led services.

Laszlo Posset, Managing Director, T-Systems ICT India Pvt Ltd said, “The success of our operations in the country, over the years, led us to accelerate our expansion with a new India headquarters facility in Pune.
