New Vivo S1 launched under S-series portfolio

Pune: Vivo, the global innovative smartphone brand, on Thursday, launched its new phone Vivo S1, under its brand new S-series portfolio. The first device from this series, S1, showcases state-of-the-art design with unmatched camera capabilities. 

The vibrant and trendy device will be available in two attractive colour options including Skyline Blue and Diamond Black.

While addressing media on Thursday afternoon, company officials said that Maharashtra contributes over 14 per cent of the overall smartphones in India; selling approximately 11.63 lakh smartphones per month, while contributing around 13.9 per cent to overall Vivo India revenue. With the S1 launch, Vivo aims to further strengthen its presence in the State. Vivo currently enjoys a 21.2 per cent market share by value in the Indian smartphone market, making it the second-largest offline brand in the country.

Commenting on the launch, Nipun Marya, Director – Brand Strategy, Vivo India, said, “Maharashtra is one of the most significant markets for Vivo, as it contributes the highest to overall smartphone sales in India. We have always received an overwhelming response from consumers across the State for our wide product portfolio. We continue to focus on offering the latest in product innovation and new-age technology, combined with good looks to up the style quotient for our consumers.”

The Vivo S1 smartphone comes in two variants 4GB + 128 GB and 6 GB + 64 GB variants priced at Rs 17,990 and Rs 18,990 respectively. The device is available for purchase across offline outlets in Maharashtra and on online channels. 

The 6 GB + 128 GB variants will be available for sale starting next month for Rs 19,990. The S1, like all Vivo devices sold in India, has been manufactured at Vivo’s Greater Noida facility.

India’s first device powered by the all-new MediaTek Helio P65 Octa-Core Processor running on a massive 4500 mAh battery, the S1 will help Vivo strengthen its product portfolio in the region further. The device comes equipped with the best-in-class 32 MP front camera along with 16 MP primary Sony IMX499 Sensor, 8 MP AI Super Wide Angle lens and 2MP Bokeh lens that help consumers create photographic masterpieces.

Currently equipped with a wide distribution network of 7100+ retail stores across Maharashtra and 59 service centres that provide 24/7 customer service for a quick and excellent after-sales service experience to the customers.
