India’s first fully connected SUV Hyundai ‘Venue’ launched

New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) launched the Hyundai Venue, the country’s first fully ‘Connected SUV’ in a glittering ceremony here on Tuesday.

Speaking at the global launch of the car, MD and CEO of HMIL, SS Kim, said, “We are extremely delighted with the launch of Hyundai Venue in India. The Indian market is at the centre of Hyundai’s global growth plan and the launch of Venue will strengthen our commitment to the Indian market and fulfil our promise of creating a happy life for our customers.”

The Hyundai Venue will come with Kappa 1.0 Turbo GDi Petrol, 1.2L Petrol and 1.4L Diesel engine under its hood to complement the aggressive front chrome grille.

The 1.0 GDi Petrol engine comes with a power of 120@6,000 rpm generating a torque of 17.5@1,500-4,000 rpm. The compact engine boasts of a best-in-segment fuel average of 18.27 kmpl.

The 1.4L diesel engine provides a power of 90@4,000 rpm generating 22.4@1,500-2,750 rpm of torque. The diesel engine has a fuel average of 23.70 kmpl per litre.

The car also comes with an in-house developed 7-Speed advanced Dual Clutch Transmission technology. 
 
The car also boasts of first-in-segment features like wireless phone charger, air purifier, wheel air curtains and eco-coating. The safety features of the SUV include 6 airbags in top variant, ABS with EBD, Hill Assist Control and Vehicle Stability Management among other standard features.

The Hyundai Venue will be available in seven colours – Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red, Denim Blue, Lava Orange, Stardust and Deep Forest.

Blue Link Technology
The Hyundai Blue Link is Hyundai’s global technology. Hyundai Venue comes with the most advanced Connectivity solution, ‘Hyundai Blue Link,’ which has an in-built and tamper-proof device powered by Vodafone-Idea eSIM and a Cloud-based Voice Recognition platform from Global AI (Artificial Intelligence) Company – Sound Hound.

The technology is introduced in the Indian market with 33 features, out of which 10 are India-specific. The features include safety, security, Geographic Information Services, Vehicle Management Relationship Management, Artificial Intelligence, Alert Services and location-based services.

Lifestyle features like remote start, door/ climate/ horn/ light control, real time traffic information, Share My Car, POI Send2Car (destination transfer), destination set in link with schedule among others for the urban user.

Competitively Priced
With an already strong presence of the Brezza and Harrier in the compact SUV segment, the Hyundai Venue has managed to strike the right chord with its pricing. The starting price of the petrol version is Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and the diesel powered car comes at Rs 7,75,000 (ex-showroom) across the country.
