The actor, who is known for his fine acting, is back with a comedy film Sab Kushal Mangal. Ask Akshaye Khanna what excited him about the film and he says, “It’s a very sweet film. Mostly when you think of comedies nowadays, they are about double meaning and slapstick but Sab Kushal Mangal can be watched with the whole family without any hesitation.”
Did he have any hesitation working with a debutant director (Karan Kashyap)? Not at all, he says. “So many films in the recent past have been helmed by first-time directors and they have done well. You never know who has a good story and what becomes successful. I think if one likes the story and is convinced by the director’s vision, then him or her being a first-time director should not matter,” he added.
Sab Kushal Mangal also stars Priyaank Sharma and Riva Kishan. Produced by Prachi Nitin Manmohan, presented by Nitin Manmohan’s One Up Entertainment, Akshaye Khanna and Abhishek Jagdish Jaiswal, the film is releasing on January 3, 2020.
