This year will see some interesting first time on screen matches, making us wonder why they haven’t been paired together before. These reel couples have already created a lot of curiosity around the project and we hope these films live up to our expectations. Here’s looking at few of them.
Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor
It’s strange why no one had ever thought about pairing these two good looking actors before. Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have been roped in for filmmaker Luv Ranjan’s yet-untitled next directorial, which is also produced by him and Ankur Garg under their banner Luv Films. The makers are excited about Ranbir and Shraddha’s fresh pairing and hope that the audience will feel the same when they watch the film. Luv is known for his quirky comedies, while the two actors for their commercial entertainers.
Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao
The two actors have finished shooting for their horror comedy— RoohiAfza. Janhvi is playing a double role in the film, which is being directed Hardik Mehta’s directorial. The two looked adorable in the first look shared by the makers during the announcement of the film in 2019. What makes their pairing interesting is the fact that Rajkummar is known for being part of out-of-the-box content, while Janhvi is the quintessential beauty of Bollywood.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt
Their off screen chemistry is super cute so the buzz around their first on screen film– Brahmastra, isn’t surprising. Fans of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt love the fact that there two beautiful actors are in a steady relationship. From holidaying, to being part of family get-togethers, attending events, the two actors are always together. Though there are whispers about them tying the knot soon, none of the actors have confirmed the same. Their pairing in Ayan Mukherjee’s superhero film is definitely one of it’s highlights and we are super excited about the project.
Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey
This is one unlikely pairing. Who would thought that Vikrant with his boy-next-door looks will romance Bollywood’s most beautiful woman –Deepika. But Chhapaak isn’t our regular Hindi film. Based on life of acid attack survivor –Laxmi Agarwal, the film puts forth the confidence of the victim. Vikrant plays the role of Laxmi’s real-life partner and we can’t stop wooing over their on screen chemistry, which is subtle yet romantic. Releasing on January 10, Chhapaak looks like one promising film.
Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan
We are excited about Imtiaz Ali’s Love Ajj Kal 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan because of two reasons – the first being that they are such beautiful actors, and the second, we can’t keep going ‘aww’ on their social media PDA. From coming to pick up each other from the airport to being clicked together at dinner dates, these two actors looked adorable in real life. Sadly, even before the release of the film, the actors have split. But there is no denying that their chemistry looks cracking on screen.
Ananya Pandey and Ishaan Khatter
These actors have been roped in for an edgy roller-coaster ride titled Khaali Peeli. The film is being produced by filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar and Zee Studios, while Maqbool Khan is directing it. Set in the maximum city, Mumbai, Khaali Peeli is about one night when a boy meets a girl. The makers have roped in Vishal-Shekhar to compose the music of the film, which looks exciting with Ishaan’s unconventional looks and acting ability and Ananya’s beauty.
