Strike it off

On International Women’s Day, actress Kubbra Sait and fashion designer Masaba Gupta shared posts on social media striking off judgments that they have faced all their lives.

Known for her bold roles and tough spirit, Kubbra said, “Weirdo is the word that has followed me just like I followed my dreams with all my passion and determination. You’re a weirdo, because you laugh too loud, you’re a weirdo because you walk into a room and say hi to everyone, or because you talk too much, or don’t dress like a girl or act like a girl. Everything that I did according to me and not according to what ‘they’ said made me a more confirmed version of a weirdo.”

Speaking up on how this judgement only made her more confident to share her message for women all over India to fight for what they believe in and chase their big dream with a fearless spirit.

Power goddess Masaba Gupta sets some major confidence goals taking from her post on a story on Instagram. The creative powerhouse with her elegant stance and quirky appeal said, “This Women’s Day, with a crown of curls and a big smile, I strike off the ‘Unattractive’ label I was given. Because I can face anything. Body Shaming is not acceptable. Being a victim of that, I can proudly say that it is only by being fearless and confident that one can go beyond these labels. Slam the shame, girls! Time to strike off that one judgement that has followed you all your life. Different is beautiful.” Striking off the negative, she sent a message for all women to be confident in their choices and chase their dreams with fearless ambition.
