A spectacular show

Couture — an initiative by Smita Patwardhan and Naina Mutha, was a real treat for the ladies of Pune. The lavish exhibition, which had everything, from high-end fashion clothing to designer jewellery to resplendent home decor, charmed the visitors. Sakal Times was the media partner for Couture, which was recently held at The Westin Pune, Koregaon Park.

The Couture had breathtaking collections by ace designers. The exhibition also saw exclusive stalls put up by C Krishniah Chetty and Sons, Salim Asgarally and Divya Reddy that gave glimpses of the respective designer’s latest designs, patterns and collections. The exhibition also offered exclusive rates for the attendees.

There were more than 110 stalls by brands and designers from across India showcasing exclusive high fashion clothing, accessories, home decor, designer jewellery, gifting and even home concepts. Guests got the best deals under one roof. They were delighted with the options that they could choose from, be it the luxurious and exclusive Pakistani suits from Narjis, Delhi, or exclusive jewellery designs like necklaces, statement pieces, bangles and bracelets in gold, silver and precious stones and gems from The House of MBJ, Rathod Jewellers and Ghanasingh Be True Jewels, to name a few.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the gorgeous actress Sonali Kulkarni who visited each and every stall and encouraged the women entrepreneurs and spoke highly of the collections.

As their corporate social responsibility, the organisers of Couture have supported NGOs like Prashanti Cancer Care, Mukul Madhav Foundation and Divyaj Foundation in the past. This year, they extended their support to the Indian Army’s Women’s Wing — AWWA, who too put up a stall displaying their handcrafted products.
