Sadak 2 trailer marks as the most disliked video on YouTube; battles plagiarism claims

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt returned to his director's chair after a gap of almost two decades, but his journey seemed to be through a road full of thorns. His new thriller titled Sadak 2, starring daughter Alia Bhatt in the lead, has notched up the most disliked trailer on YouTube since its release with a count of 5.3 million giving a thumb down.

While the debate around nepotism and the unreasonable opportunities given to actors having a "godfather" in the Bollywood industry continues in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide this June. Due to the same, Bollywood celebrities such as Bhatt, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor and Ananya Pandey has been at the receiving end. The cries to boycott "star kids" have augmented on Wednesday when a clan of Singh's fans headed to YouTube to express their displeasure towards Bhatt's Sadak 2 trailer.

There also have been several reports claiming that the song "Ishq Kamaal" from the film is a copied version. Suniljeet, the music composer of Sadak 2, however, has denied such allegations saying, "Ishq Kamaal is my original composition and doesn't share similarity to any other song. Everybody involved in making this song including singer Javed Ali has added his magic to the music. This is my debut as a music director and all I hope for is that people like the song when it comes out. Shalu Vaish and I have worked with all our heart to live up to the expectation of Sadak 2 music."

With a total view of over 3.5 million, 29,000 people have already liked it. The movie will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on August 28. Lots of users have started following the trend #UninstallHotstar after the OTT platform accepted to release the film.
