Revengers to the rescue?

Revengers to the rescue?

It’s been almost a year since audiences were left shell-shocked after they watched Thanos wipe out half the universe on screen. Now, after going back and watching all the Marvel movies that have led up to this point in the MCU, including Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel, fans have come up with various theories to predict what will happen in the final installment of the Avengers franchise featuring the first-generation recruits.

As you know that every Marvel movie concludes with an end-credit scene that leads fans on to the next film in the MCU, the latest one from Captain Marvel where Nick Fury pages a number that has signage relating to Captain Marvel, gives you a few hints about what to expect in Avengers: End Game.

After seeing the trailer for the film, you know that Ant-Man is back and so is Hawk Eye. But a question mark looms over the Revengers — remember Thor’s own private Avengers-style crew?

To jog your memory, we first saw the Revengers in Thor: Ragnarok. The likes of Valkyrie, Thor, Loki, Hulk and Korg came together to battle Hela the Goddess of Death. In Avengers: Infinity War, we just saw Thor, Loki and a bit of the Hulk, while Valkyrie, Korg and the others were out of the picture.

With so many MCU characters turning into dust, this seems like the perfect opportunity for a group that prides itself on vengeance. After all, who better to take revenge against Thanos, than a band called the Revengers?

The theory seems quite apt considering Thor missed his chance to take down Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Fans are pretty sure that Thanos’ line, “You should have gone for the head” is still ringing fresh in the ears of the God of Thunder. He’s now left with an inactive Hulk and a presumably dead brother. It’s obvious Thor needs all the help he can get and that sets up quite nicely for a Revengers return.

So, how can the Revengers do what the Avengers failed to? Well, for one, we can’t wait for a warrior like Valkyrie to enter the fray. Couple that with Korg’s super strength, and we know it’s already set for a power-packed battle. Oh, and we’re also counting down to Hulk losing his temper to become green again. The only thing missing is Loki’s trickery, but take a moment to remember that circumstances of his death — as Loki double-crossed Thanos, his last words to Thor were, “I assure you brother, the sun will shine on us again.” We know that Loki can make illusions of himself to trick people, and that he had the Space stone which can create a portal from one part of the universe to another when Thanos literally squeezed the life out of him. All this information gives audiences an inkling of hope that the cunning trickster might just return.
