Performances, workshops for theatre lovers

The year end is here and just like we go off into a retrospective mode, capturing life’s little vignettes, the city’s art scene too aims to do something similar. The Year End with Theatron Festival is essentially a celebration of all-things theatre. This three-day festival, starting from December 27, will showcase some of Theatron Entertainment’s most popular shows, along with guest performances and workshops from theatre veterans and a chance for theatre enthusiasts to come together. The plays will be performed at Sakal Kala Lalitghar.

Suraj Parasnis, one of the founders of Theatron Entertainement, says, “We would like to reach out to a wider audience with our work spanning genres – horror, sci-fi, Shakespearean tragedy. We have also invited  senior artists like Mahesh Manjrekar, who will be inaugurating the festival, and will then be speaking about his stage journey. We are also having sessions and workshops with artists like Akash Khurana, Ajeet Singh Palawat, Vijay Kenkre and Girish Joshi. They will benefit theatre artists for sure.”
