Reliance Entertainment launched the first look of Parineeti Chopra from the official Hindi remake of The Girl On The Train. The film is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
In the first look, Parineeti appears in a never-seen-before avatar and the look is something which has been attempted by the actress for the first time. Says Parineeti, “On the set of The Girl on the Train, I feel like I’m in a disciplined hostel. Shoot, rest, repeat. Usually I love to switch off from my shoots and do other things but here I can’t wait to be back on set every day. I am not in the head space to do anything other than working on this intense character. Ribhu Sir is one of the best directors I have ever worked with. He has the most precise and effective way of directing me and it is pure joy to completely submit myself to him.”
She adds that her character Mira is an alcoholic. “I have never ever played such a character on screen so I have detached myself from everything else happening around me because I’m high on playing this character,” Parineeti says.
To this, Ribhu Dasgupta adds, “It’s a character-driven intense thriller but when you have an actor like Pari, who is one of the finest we have today, it is a complete joy making it. I think she has a lot to offer and her talent as an actor is yet unexplored. We have done a lot of prep back in Mumbai to portray the character and shoot the film in a certain way.”
The shoot of the film has begun in London and the official release date will be announced shortly.
Produced by Reliance Entertainment, it’s adapted from DreamWorks Pictures’ psychological thriller, which was based on Paula Hawkins’ 2015 runaway bestseller novel of the same name. The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari & Avinash Tiwary.
