Mithun Chakraborty's son, Ushmey won his 1st international award

Bollywood's senior actor Mithun Chakraborty’s son Ushmey, is currently basking in praise of many international screenwriting competitions. Though from a family background of acting, Ushmey has been more interested towards Direction and Screenwriting, making his own identity in the industry by hardwork. Ushmey Chakraborty in his interview with *Sakal* spoke about his career and ongoing journey in the film Industry.

Ushmey said "I have claimed a position in the Top 15% at the Nicolls Fellowship in the world famous Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This so far has been an exciting journey for me. Currently my new Romantic- Comedy feature, 'She Can fly too' is winning hearts at different International Screenplay Competitions”
   
"Because I have been raised on Film sets, how films are made was always magic for me, and I was always wanted to work on this. Because of which the writer in me was born."

Ushmey said " In my teenage my dad used to keenly guide me. I started  making films using camcorder. Dad would critically watch my films and would give insights on those, This was like getting free lessons in a Film school."

I MADE SEVERAL FILMS INDEPENDENTLY
He was eventually going to get the fruit of his hardwork and at the age of 21 his feature  'Life, Somewhere' which won the Royal Reel Award in the Canada International Film Festival. Ushmey was the film's writer, producer and Director.

Speaking on this he said , "I knew I was on the right path and I can make career in this field. After this I worked as an assistant Producer in Chariot Films with Directors Gaurav Pandey and V.K. Prakash.  I continued to make my own films because the best way of educating yourself is by doing things on your own."

Ushmey has recently completed his stint in Hollywood with Foundation Film's Gabriel Cowen and INE Entertainment's Harlan Freedman. Currently he is working on his short’s Pre Production.

Ushmey has spoken about himself for the first time  to *Sakal*. Instead of following his father's legacy in Acting, Ushmey is making his own identity and with his hardwork he is making inroads in this Industy. In upcoming years he is expected to make impeccable movies for us all.
