Laal Singh Chaddha: Aamir Khan shares first official look

Mumbai: The first look poster of Superstar Aamir Khan from film "Laal Singh Chaddha" was revealed on Monday

An official remake of Tom Hanks' 1994 feature "Forrest Gump", the movie is being directed by Advait Chandan. Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is playing the female lead. This film will mark their reunion after 3 Idiots in 2009.

Aamir Khan took to social media to post the first look poster from the movie that introduces him as the titular character.

The actor, who seems to be sitting on the berth of the train compartment, sports an innocent smile as he looks at the camera. He is donning a light pink turban  matched with his pick checkered shirt and has a thick beard with a handlebar moustache.

Captioning the poster  he wrote "Sat Sri Akaal ji, myself Laal... Laal Singh Chaddha,"

A few day ago Aamir shared a short video clip that revealed the film's logo.

The clip contained a brief song with the lyrics, "Kya pata hum mein hain kahani, ya hain kahani mein hum."

Aamir khan , 54, had declared the project on his birthday in March.

The actor, whose last movie "Thugs of Hindostan" did not perform well at the box office, had said that he would be losing around a lot of weight for his role in the film.

"My next movie is finalised it is called Laal Singh Chaddha. It is being made by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Aamir Khan Productions together. It will be directed by Advait Chandan. It is an adaptation of Hollywood film 'Forrest Gump'," Aamir had told journalists.

The film will release on Christmas 2020.
