I cannot create issues for the cameras: Hiten Tejwani

Hiten Tejwani, who has been evicted from Colors Bigg Boss 11, says that the house-mates should respect Shilpa not only because she cooks for everyone, but because she helps people in the house

Hiten Tejwani’s eviction from Bigg Boss 11 has been the most shocking event of the show, so far. The popular actor was touted as the top contender on the show, but because of a twist employed by the makers, where the house-mates had to choose between Hiten and Priyank Sharma, he was out. Four of seven house-mates chose Priyank over Hiten. Even host Salman Khan was shocked by the decision and shared his unhappiness over the choice.

“I am shocked,” says the actor post his eviction from the show. When asked what could have probably gone wrong, Hiten adds, “I don’t know. I am still trying to figure it out. I think it was maybe because I wasn’t fighting with others; but I would never do that.”

Hiten was called the most sensible participant on the show. Salman too during the eviction pointed out that he was the calming factor of house. Maybe the fact that he wasn’t creating enough drama worked against him? “I cannot create issues for the cameras. I will never do that because that’s not me. I will take a stand if I find something wrong. Creating drama or fighting over unnecessary issues, just for the sake of the camera, is not me. I can’t do that and I won’t do that,” he says emphatically.

Last week, Hiten came into limelight after a caller revealed that Hiten had lied to Arshi. He had saved Shilpa in the nominations, but lied to others saying that he had saved Arshi. Was that the reason? “I had always maintained that I didn’t want to fight. I wanted to keep the information for task. If I would have told Arshi the same thing during the Robot task, she would have run way. But before I could do that, the caller informed the house-mates.”

Hiten says that though he is disappointed with his eviction, he is content with the respect he has gained on the show. “The real faces of the participants come out once they enter the show. Many are coming across as negative people. But the respect I have earned is quite important for me. Despite so much of negativity, I kept my patience level intact. Equations would change everyday and so would trends,” says the actor, known for TV serials like Kutumb, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kkoi Dil Mein Hai, Karam Apnaa Apnaa, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Balika Vadhu, Gangaa and others.

Hiten has developed a great friendship with fellow contestant Vikas Gupta because of which he was constantly criticised. Hina Khan event went on to call him ‘spineless’ for following Vikas blindly. But Hiten says that all the allegations were untrue. “And I have already answered Hina in my own style.” The actor, who has also worked in films, says that either Vikas or Shilpa Shinde will win the show.

Last week, Hina created a scene after she got to know that Shilpa cooks food in tap water. Hiten says that the house-mates should respect Shilpa not only because she cooks for everyone, but because she helps each and everyone in the house.

When asked who is weakest player, apart from Luv Tyagi, he says, “Akash Dadlani. That guy keeps changing his personality every second.” Now that he is back, Hiten wants to rest for a few days.
