Here comes the Mad Queen
The internet is so disappointed with Daenerys turning into the tyrant she was trying to save from
Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons, has been given another title to her name by the fans of the show after the fifth episode of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones — the roaster of those who stand in her way. And we don’t mean the kind of roast where someone in subjected to good-natured ridicule, but the literal kind where they are made into kebabs.
The internet is so disappointed with Daenerys turning into the tyrant she was trying to save from. While some are congratulating Emilia Clarke for her portrayal of Adolf Hitler in this season of the show, others are grieving the death of her character development.
A Twitter user points out the unpopular opinion that burning down Kings Landing doesn’t make Danny the Mad Queen, it makes her the queen we’ve all wanted since she got her dragons. Some tweeple are trying to figure out if she has green eyes now, considering her ruthlessness.
From an abused girl sold by her brother for an alliance, to losing her husband and child, making the Dothraki army follow her leadership to freeing slaves and wanting to help people, Daenery’s come a long way. But somewhere between losing her dragons, her trusted companions Ser Jorah and Missandei, and being disappointed in the people she came to trust, Dany lost her mind. It would be unfair to say ‘like father, like daughter’ because hers has been a long, slow, painful and inevitable descent into what seems like insanity.
