Harshvardhan Rane joins JP Dutta’s ‘Paltan’

Veteran filmmaker JP Dutta, who gave the industry some of the finest war dramas of all time, including the National Award-winning Border, has started working on his next ambitious titled Paltan.

As per a recent development, the veteran filmmaker has recently signed Harshvardhan Rane to be part of his ambitious war drama. According to a source, “It’s learnt that the makers were looking for a tall actor, who not only had great screen presence but was also physically fit. The role is as challenging as it is physically demanding and Harshvardhan was the perfect fit.”

The source further adds, “In fact, JP Dutta was blown away by him in the very first meeting and immediately knew he had found the actor he was looking for. Harsh is undoubtedly one of the best looking actors around with an enviable physique that takes years of hard work to build.”

After his Bollywood debut, Sanam Teri Kasam, Harshvardhan waited for the right script to come his way and he found Paltan to be the perfect script for him. The actor, who normally maintains a low profile, has been in talks with a few filmmakers and has now signed JP Dutta’s Paltan.

Nidhi Dutta of JP Films says, “Yes, we have signed Harshvardhan Rane for Paltan but it’s too early to divulge anything about the movie or his role.”

Produced by JP Films and directed by JP Dutta, the film is scheduled for a summer 2018 release.
