Get Ready For A Fun Ride

Triple Seat might be a punishable offence, but the Marathi film of the same name seems entertaining and promises to take the audience on a fun ride. The film, starring Ankush Chaudhari, Shivani Surve and Pallavi Patil, is a cross connection of 'wireless love'.

Triple Seat director Sanket Pavse, along with the team, recently visited Sakal Times office to promote their film. Speaking about it, Ankush said, "The film is about relationships. It is based on an incident that took place because of a missed call in Bengaluru. The writer and director took the idea and developed a story around it. They added other elements to it and came up with a commercial family entertainer. Triple Seat is about three characters played by Shivani, Pallavi and me.”

When asked why it is called a wireless love story, he added, “Earlier, there were phones with wires, but now we have wireless ones. It is an unseen chord that binds us together. The film revolves around the relations we share because of this invisible chord. The film is entertaining, but there are also moments that will leave the audience emotional.”

Sanket, who earlier worked as an associate director, is making his directorial debut with Triple Seat. Talking about his experience of working with such established actors, he said, “Honestly, every director wants to direct a good story real characters. When the concept was developed, I liked it and enjoyed working on the screenplay and dialogues. When it came to the cast, we decided to approach Ankush but we were not sure if he would say yes. But he, along with Vaibhav Mangle, Bappa Joshi and a few other talented names, came on board because they liked the concept.” Sanket is confident that audiences will find the characters relatable.

Shivani, who has earlier worked in Hindi and Marathi TV shows like Jaana Na Dil Se Door and Devyani, said, “I play a character called Tanvi, who is carefree and lives every moment. She manages to fulfil her desires within the restrictions set by her family, and without hurting her parents. When you see my character, you will be able to connect with it.”

Pallavi, on the other hand, plays the role of Vrunda in the film. Speaking about her character, she said, “A song picturised on Ankush sir and me was recently released, and that is how my name was revealed to the audience. My character is very real and has good bonding with her family. Apart from being obedient, she is also capable of doing things on her own.”

Pallavi and Ankush are collaborating for the second time after Classmates that released in 2015. Speaking about the same, she said, “Classmates was my first film. What I really like about Ankush sir is that he is very passionate about his work. He is very involved in the project, right from developing the story to  post-production promotions. If he takes up a project, he gives his 100 per cent to it. I get to learn a lot from him.”

Ankush, who is also known as a screenwriter, director, producer and theatre personality, approaches every film as his first. “This gives me a lot of energy and I also get to learn a lot in the process. The bottom line is that when I am working on a new project, I become a student. I don’t rush and I don’t do films just for the sake of doing films. Hence, I take my time, work on scripts and try to bring new elements for the audience through my work,” he said.

Triple Seat, written by Abhijeet Dalvi, produced by Narendra Firodia and co-produced by Swapnil Munot, is set to release on October 25.
