Futuristic kitchens

Namit Bajoria is a first generation entrepreneur from Kolkata who has transformed the way millions of Indians cook at home through his brand Kutchina. Now with his vision, you can live like the Jetsons with cutting edge technology installed in your home. The brand has introduced an auto-clean chimney that works on artificial intelligence. Speaking about its function, Bajoria says, “The AI installed in the chimneys will automatically detect when the appliance is dirty and will clean it on its own. You don’t need to worry about keeping the chimney clean. It saves you time and stress.” The autoclean chimney is designed specially  for Indian homes.

The businessman wants to make his brand a one-stop solution for all your kitchen needs. “Nowadays, you go to one seller for the interiors, another shop or brand for the products, then someone else for something else. We want to make building your dream kitchen an easy task. So the plan is to come up with a one-stop-shop where customers can come and get everything they need for their kitchens, from big appliances like chimneys to smaller ones like toasters etc,” he says.

Bajoria started his own company when he was tired of having his visionary ideas dismissed by his then boss. “I thought,  let’s start a brand of my own where I work on products that I ideate about and I did it in 2000 with my flagship brand Kutchina,” says the alumni of Harvard Business School, from where he has post graduate diplomas in Business Communication and Global Marketing.

Making its presence felt pan India, Kutchina has also forayed into kitchen interiors and small appliances and has now set sights on international markets.
