A foundation workshop in theatre

Junoon Arts & Education Foundation and Maharashtra Cultural Centre are holding an intense two-day workshop starting on December 18 for all those who are interested in creating theatre for young audiences. To be conducted by Shaili Sathyu of Gillo Repertory, Mumbai, the workshop will explore the basic approach to theatre and specifically young audiences.

If you are interested in honing your skills and craft, then this foundation workshop is for you. Here challenges are addressed and creative solutions found; each participant is stimulated to forge ahead with greater dedication and fervour to develop their field of theatre for children.

The workshop, which is held under the aegis of Junoon’s Theatre Inclusive Programme, is an attempt to take rich theatre experiences to low-resourced children across the country. Over time, to bring the richness of theatre to children, it would be important to have local theatre groups equipped to create thoughtful and engaging plays, which this workshop hopes to foster.

The workshop, which is free, will be held at Sudarshan Rangmanch, Shaniwar Peth, from 10 am - 5 pm. For more details, write to vedantranade92@gmail.com
