Fans have it all

From digital screens to performing live on the Fanfest stage, YouTube creators from India and around the world gathered for the sixth edition of YouTube Fanfest at Jio Gardens, Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai, on March 30. And like every year, 2019 YouTube Fanfest was a grand affair attracting a large audience.

Some of the most popular YouTubers such as international YouTube sensation Amanda Cerny; YouTuber, TV host and actor Lilly Singh (IISuperwomanII); Dubai-based YouTube sensation MoVlogs; YouTube India’s very own comedian and singer Bhuvan Bam (BB Ki Vines); YouTube comedy creators Be YouNick, The Screen Patti, Ashish Chanchalani, Amit Bhadana and MostlySane; popular Indian music band Sanam and several others walked the red carpet with elegance and grace. The fans too got a chance to meet their favourite YouTubers, click selfies with them and ask questions during the meet and greet event.

The main event was kicked off by Indian choreographer and YouTube sensation Melvin Louis accompanied by Indian TV actress Sana Khan. They made the crowd groove to their energetic dance moves. Next, Amanda set the stage on fire as she grooved to Bollywood songs. Social media stars Sonal Devraj and Nicole Concessao of Team Naach danced their heart out and brought in a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the evening’s event. YouTube singing sensation Ritu Agarwal (Voice of Ritu) made the crowd fall in love with her beautiful and soothing voice.

The energy level went up a few notches when popular rapper and Indian hip-hop artist Naezy entered the stage and rapped his most popular originals with equal involvement of the audience. Similar energy was observed when Tony Kakkar performed his latest and popular Bollywood numbers. MJ5, an Indian dance group, which specialises in MJ’s style and moonwalk, danced their way into the hearts of their fans.

Gaurav Chaudhary, aka Technical Guruji, famous for his unboxing video content, carried out one of the greatest unboxing live on stage which actually consisted two of the best vloggers Mumbiker Nikhil and Mo Vlogs. While Mumbiker Nikhil performed a complete power-packed dance act, Mo Vlogs, in collaboration with Angry Prash, delivered some content for the comedy club. The comedy club also included other YouTubers like Girliyapa, Screen Patti, BeYouNick, Ashish Chanchlani and Amit Bhadana who received stupendous response for their respective gigs.

Prajakta Koli, also know as MostlySane, added a Maharashtrian dash to the event. She performed her official tracks, along with the assistance of dhol-tasha, live on the stage.  With their melodious voice and music, the crowd pleasing band Sanam were a big hit too. This was followed by Bhuvan Bam’s act and Indian film director, producer and TV personality, Karan Johar joining him. They took off on Bhuvan’s well-known Tittu Talks series, which started a wave of comedy and laughter amongst the audience.

Last but not the least, the most awaited, live wire performer Lilly Singh, accompanied by Humble The Poet, performed an absolute banger and sent the crowd into a complete hysteria. For the final flourish, Varun Dhawan surprised the audience and intensified the energy and enthusiasm amongst them by entering the stage and grooving with Amanda Cerny and Lilly Singh.

The finale was absolutely breathtaking. All the creators were once again seen on the stage together grooving and celebrating the grand success of the event. Not to forget the anchors of the event Naser Al Azzeh and Vineeth ‘Beep’ Kumar from Jordindian who played a major role in making this event an ultimate success.

YouTube Fanfest 2019 Mumbai came to an end leaving the fans in complete rapture (and also tired legs), and many of them looking forward to the 2020 event.
