Exhibition of limited edition artists’ prints

Vistaar Art Studio, Pune, in association with Studio Vichitra, Vadodara, has announced their inaugural print portfolio. It comprises 12 limited edition prints by well-known artists like Jyoti Bhatt, PD Dhumal, Akkitam Vasudevan, Vrindavan Solanki, Vishwa Shroff, Jagdeesh Tammineni, Pune-based Snehal Goyal and Sachin Nimbalkar, among others.

To showcase these one of a kind works in Pune, an intimate exhibition of the 12 artists’ prints alongside the engraved plates that were used in their production will be held on January 10, 2020 at the residence of artist Arti Kirloskar. The portfolio launch evening is hosted by Kirloskar and Parijat Foundation.

All the artworks have been created around the theme: Of All that Remains — Everything that ever existed must end at a point, such is the way of the universe we inhabit.

And yet all is not lost, a chapter ends with a cliffhanger, a day with regrets, a relationship with hurt and a life with memories. The travails of Hercules, the challenges of modern living, the uncertainty of an apocalyptic future have as much in common: they will leave a trace: faint, imperceptible, intangible, atoms suspended in a still fresh scene. It is our misfortune and blessing to have this sense of time, it is these remnants that we cling to that make us human.

The proceeds of the sales of the portfolios will enable each studio to raise funds for programming like lectures, workshops and other activities to promote printmaking in their respective cities.
