Desi Hoppers place India in the third spot at the Asian Battleground finals

From winning the world of dance championship 2015, to gracing Hollywood at its biggest reality show America’s Got Talent as special performers, Indian dance crew — the Desi Hoppers have put our country on a high with their awesome dancing skills. Now, the group, led by Shantanu Maheshwari, has placed India third among other prominent Asian countries at Asian Battleground, Asia’s most famous dance competition!

The six boy dance crew consisting of Shantanu, Macedon Dmello, Nimit Kotian, Niraj Lama, Lavish Devda and Rohan Vyas represented the country in the finals last weekend at Asian Battleground in Malaysia. They were competing with 12 other popular Asian country teams.

The competition was judged by world famous dancers from Hollywood including Philip Chebb from the Step Up film series.

Speaking about the same, Shantanu said, “We feel privileged to have performed alongside some of the best Asian dance crews at such a huge platform! The entire experience of representing India on such an awesome stage was amazing! We made some great friends as well as got to see some of the best dance performances through the competition world over. The cherry on the cake was the crowd, which even though not Indian, cheered for us so much.”

“The judges, Mari Koda, who said she is now a fan of the Desi Hoppers, and Philip Chebb, who gave us some amazing dancing tips too, highly appreciated our act. Our entire crew is extremely proud and happy to have represented the country once again and place it in the top at such a prestigious event. Looking forward to more opportunities like this where we can once again make India proud,” he further added.
