A decade of hospitality
Sayaji Hotel Pune celebrated its 10th anniversary on April 26 with much fanfare, delectable food and flashmob
Despite a considerable number of five-star hotels that have come up in Pune in the last decade, people still have a special connection with Sayaji Hotel Pune. Located on Mumbai-Banglore Bypass Highway, Wakad, Sayaji Hotel has its own loyalists, and the number of those patrons is quite big.
The hotel completed 10 years of service in hospitality industry recently (April 26) and they invited us to be a part of their celebration of this milestone year.
For the grand celebration which was spread across three days — from April 24-26, the hotel sported a quintessential ‘Sayaji Style’ décor with a magnificent 11ft Banyan Tree placed at the hotel lobby depicting, just like the roots, Sayaji’s strong love for its family.
The five-star hotel which has successfully established an iconic status of providing excellent luxury services to business and leisure travellers from all over the world, also organised a series of exciting events to mark the special day.
The swanky hotel was decked up with sparkling lights, drapes and floral arrangements while the soothing music created a beautiful ambience and added to the cheer and merrymaking.
However, the highlight of the evening was the flash mob for which the hotel’s staff and associates put up dance performance after an interval of 30 minutes.
For the special dance performances, the staff stayed back after their shifts were over and rehearsed for hours so that their steps matched. Their hard work and dedication reflected in their dance moves which were flawless and in sync with each other.
To take their guests down memory lane, the screen at the lobby gave everyone glimpses of moments with its guests and various events and celebrations organised at the hotel in the last 10 years.
When we talk about celebrations, how can we miss food? For the special occasion, their restaurant Portico offered a delectable spread offering mouthwatering dishes across cuisines. From delicious Mumbai-style Pani Puri, Momos, Baby Corn Chilli to sumptuous Biryani, and desserts, there was everything to make the evening more delightful for its patrons.
