Ayushmann Khurrana: 'I'm a seeker of knowledge, have always been!'

Bollywood celebrities are making the most of the quarantine period. While some are cooking, others are working out; there are few who are interacting with their fans.

Ayushmann Khurrana is always on the lookout to gather knowledge so that he can better himself. Given that he has time on his hands due to the national lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic, Ayushmann has enrolled himself for an online course that will see him study Indian history.

Ayushmann confirms, "I have always looked to better myself because I believe that we are blessed to learn and evolve for as long as we live. I'm a seeker of knowledge, have always been!"

Sharing his love for Indian history, Ayushmann says, "I have always loved Indian history and have been keen to know more about it. We have a fascinating history - it's rich, it's dipped in culture, and it's so diverse. I do have some time to spare currently, and I want to learn more about our past."

"I'm enrolling myself to an online course to discover more about India's past, and I'm super excited. It will be an enriching and fulfilling experience," adds the Badhai Ho actor.

The actor whose last release was Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan has a busy year ahead. His next Gulabo Sitabo, also starring Amitabh Bachchan, will release next. He will start working on Anek, his second collaboration with filmmaker Anubhav Sinha.

The actor has completed eight years in Bollywood, marking his entry with the pathbreaking Vicky Donor, which released in 2012.

"It has been a gratifying, humbling and thrilling eight years and I would not want to change anything about it. I only have gratitude to the universe for enabling me to chase my dreams. It wasn't easy, it had its share of tears and lack of self-confidence, but it sure has been super exciting," the actor had said in a statement.

The actor has shared that he is grateful to the industry for welcoming an outsider like him with open arms.

"I'm thankful to all the visionary filmmakers who made me a part of their stories because whatever I'm today is because of them. I'm also supremely thankful to the audiences for loving my work and constantly validating my film choices with so much affection. They have told me when I have been correct in choosing the best content films, and I have learnt from them when I have faltered," he had added.

Ayushmann is clear that he wants to back the best cinema that is being made by the industry.

"For me, the past eight years has only been about growth and my journey in cinema has just started. I wish to back the best films that will be made in the Hindi film industry and be part of the phenomenal visions of the leading storytellers of my generation. I can't wait to know what my future holds for me," he further added.
