Ali Fazal, who made headlines in 2017 with his international outing Victoria and Abdul, is in the news again. There was a talk about him featuring in a Hollywood biopic after he became an overnight sensation in the West when he starred opposite Dame Judi Dench in Victoria and Abdul.
While a lot was silent on the front, it’s now been revealed that the biopic will take off in 2019 and will have the story set against the backdrop of the Iraq war. This perhaps makes Ali the first Indian actor to star in a biopic in the West.
The film is set to go on floors in summer and will take a few months of shooting. Currently the other cast of the film is being locked.
