Ali and Shraddha bond over books on the sets of ‘Milan Talkies’

Ali Fazal is currently shooting for the final schedule of Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Milan Talkies, opposite debutante Shraddha Srinath. Ali, who is also the lead along with Sanjay Dutt in the latter’s production, Prassthanam, will be seen playing a young filmmaker in Milan Talkies, a character that has been inspired by none other than director Tigmanshu Dhulia’s youth.

Anyone who knows Ali is aware of how he has over time cultivated the art of reading books. Being a bookworm always comes with its perks as his onscreen love interest (Shraddha)too is a sucker for books. The Victoria & Abdul actor and his co-star hit it off instantly due to their common liking and even recommended their favourite reads to one another. Ali, whose Instagram posts create a major intrigue amongst his followers adding to the mysterious personality of the suave actor, has always maintained he loves reading and we couldn’t agree more as it is the truest form of creativity.

When we caught up with Ali to ask him about his top 10 favourite books which he would recommend, the Fukrey actor replied, “Lust for Life (Van Gogh’s story), 40 Rules of Love by Elif Shafak, Arundhati Roy and any ink she has spilled (genius), Ammi by Saeed Akhtar Mirza, Mein Kempf by Adolf Hitler, Being There by Kosinsky, House of Leaves, Kite Runner (of course), Moth Smoke, Shantaram, etc etc are some of my top favourites.”
