An airport full of surprises
Minions, Sherlock, Wonder Woman and more! SPN English Cluster got its iconic characters to life at the Mumbai Airport recently
Passengers travelling from and landing at Mumbai airport between May 3 and 5 were in for a surprise as SPN English Cluster comprising Sony PIX, AXN and Sony BBC Earth — brought their iconic characters to life! Minions, Sherlock, Harry Potter, Wonder Woman and many others took over Mumbai airports as part of the innovative and differentiated activations to celebrate Passengers Day.
It all started as a regular Friday morning on May 3 till passengers spotted a crate of dinosaur eggs on the conveyor belt, followed by a warrior Vikings shield. A Harry Potter suitcase and Sherlock’s evidence box followed thereafter. While they were coming to terms with what was going on, a crate of plastic was spotted with a warning that by 2050, plastic might outweigh fish in the oceans.
Completely oblivious to the activations, the passengers were in complete awe when they found their favourite characters strolling away at the airport. From Sherlock, Wonder Woman and Superman to Joker, Harry Potter and Ragnar, all the characters engaged with the curious onlookers. The Minion dance with the passengers stole the show.
The unique association between SPN English Cluster and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) was aimed at creating unforgettable experiences for all passengers. Many, including cricketer commentator Harsha Bhogle, comedian Rohan Joshi and Indian racing driver Sneha Sharma, took to social media to share what they witnessed. Stuffed with surprises and goodies, the weekend was a breather for passengers who usually wait for hours at the airport.
