Ever since the release of Marathi blockbuster film Sairat, the overnight fame has put the spotlight on actress Rinku Rajguru. Born in a quaint town of Akluj in Maharashtra, Rinku, with a determined attitude has gained popularity in many Marathi films. Rajguru also reprised her role of Sairat in the Kannada remake titled Manasu Mallige.
After the success of Sairat, she paired with Shubhankar Tawde in Kaagar and Makeup opposite Chinmay Udgirkar, Rinku is now making her way to Bollywood with a web series on Hotstar Specials.
Actor Rinku Rajguru who gained nationwide fame for her portrayal of ‘Archi’ in Sairat now is all set to make her Hindi and digital debut with the new Hotstar Specials series, Hundred.
Rinku will play a character named Netra Patil, and her role is said to have action as well as the comic strains. Produced by RAT films, the trailer of the show, which also stars Lara Dutta Bhupathi and Karan Wahi, will be out soon.
“Hundred is my first ever digital show, and it has been a great working experience. This medium is on boom right now and is one of the major sources of entertainment for most of us in these trying times. “It is a pleasure to be a part of this digital world, especially a platform like Hotstar that has such wide reach. What drew me towards the character of Netra is that people will see a new side in each episode,” Rinku said in a statement.
On the work front, Rinku is also making her Hindi film debut in Jhund starring Amitabh Bachchan and directed by Nagraj Manjule.
