Tieto, Capgemini and Cybage enter quarterfinals

Pune: Tieto, Capgemini, Cybage entered the quarterfinals of the Springer Nature Pune IT Trophy 2017 Cricket Tournament played at  PCMC Varroc Vengsarkar Academy and  Brilliant Sports Academy ground on Thursday.

An all round show by Cyabage’s Rakesh Shinde took them home against Tech Mahindra. Shinde claimed one wicket  for 21 runs to bowl out Tech Mahindra for a mere 116 runs.

An all round show by Cyabage’s Rakesh Shinde took them home against Tech Mahindra. Shinde claimed one wicket  for 21 runs to bowl out Tech Mahindra for a mere 116 runs. 

In reply, Shinde’s unbeaten 36 runs in 36 balls helped Cyabage to overcome the Tech Mahindra’s total with six wickets to spare.
Meanwhile, Tieto defeated Zensar by 26 runs to advance further. 

Batting first, Tieto scored 148 runs for the loss of seven wickets in  20 overs.   Imtiyaz Shaikh top scored for Tieto with 47 runs while Vikram Mali scored 36 runs. In reply Zensar were all out scoring 122 runs in 19.2 overs with Dhawal Samamayeke and Akib Peerzade scoring 22 runs each.

Tieto 148 for 7 in 20 overs (Imtiyaz Shaikh 47, Vikram Mali 36, Ankit Jain 13*, Gururaj Baragundi 2-28, Akib Peerzade 2-33) bt Zensar 122 all out in 19.2 overs (Dhawal Samamayeke 22, Akib Peerzade 22, Rohit Upadhyay 3-18, Dhanaji Kalake 2-14).
Capgemini 174 for 7 in 20 overs (Phaneendra Paila 58, Deepak Kumar 54, Harshal Lunageria 49, Amit Chouhan 2-21, Suraj Dubal 2-39) bt FIS Global 154 for 7 in 20 overs (Prashant Pol 67, Rohit Bhatalia 26, Geet Desai 16, Shashank Trivedi 3-23, Chandramouli Reddy 2-32).
Tech Mahindra 116 all out in 19.3 overs (Saket Deshpande 18, Amitosh Nikhar 16, Sachin Pimprikar 16, Prateek Dubey 16, Ankit Thakre 16, Pratik Pandit 3-20, Rakesh Shinde 1-21) lost to Cybage 118 for 4 in 18.3 overs (Saurabh Rawal 45, Rakesh Shinde 36*, Prateek Dubey 1-8, Sachin Kulkarni 1-24).
