TCS wins Aachal Trophy

Pune: Last year’s runners up Tata Consultancy Services reversed the final order by dethroning champions Infosys to claim the Aachal Cup 2018 Inter IT T20 cricket tournament at the Nehru Stadium.

Pune: Last year’s runners up Tata Consultancy Services reversed the final order by dethroning champions Infosys to claim the Aachal Cup 2018 Inter IT T20 cricket tournament at the Nehru Stadium.

In a low-scoring bowler-dominated final, TCS scored a 7-wicket win over Infosys chasing the 91-run target with one over to spare.
Put in to bat, Infosys could only muster 90 with Gaurav Babel (25) leading from the front. He was supported by Maheboob Shaikh (19) and Anand Konda (14).  For TCS, Jagannath Gaddame (3/14) was excellent and tied down the Infosys batsmen in his spell.

In reply, TCS had top-scorer Saleemuddin Mohammad (31; 40 balls) take on the lead responsibility.  The winners TCS pocketed Rs. 50,000 apart from a trophy.

Infosys 90 all out in 19.5 overs (Gaurav Babel 25 (30b), Jagannath Gaddame 3/14) lost to Tata Consultancy Services 91 for 7 in 19 overs (Saleemuddin Mohammad 31 (40b), Bhaskar Srivastava 3/23).
