Tanmay Rane comes through a thriller against Singh

PUNE: Tanmay Rane of Maharastra played a thriller to get past Uttar Pradesh’s Rahul Singh 11-6, 18-16, 7-11, 9-11, 11-6  to move into the next round of the men’s event at the sixth edition of Sudesh Shelar Memorial 11SPORTS National Ranking  Table Tennis Championship which commenced at Balewadi Sports Complex, Weightlifting hall here on Friday.

11Sports and Table Tennis Federation of India are working hand-in-hand. With the emergence of Ultimate Table Tennis many young players are taking interest in the sport and it is helping our players to get better rankings. 

“We came on board to help the game. We want more and more player to take up this sport,” said Vita Dani Chairperson of 11Sports. who was attending a felicitation program of Commonwealth Games medallist. 

“Ultimate Table Tennis is one platform where everybody gets a chance, even we are focused on juniors and if you look at previous season you can see many juniors have stunned seeded players,” added Dani.
