State kabaddi team felicitated

Pune: Maharashtra kabaddi team, who won the 65th Senior National Kabaddi Championship at Hyderabad earlier this month, was felicitated by Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association at Balewadi Sports Complex on Saturday.

Each player was given Rs 51,000 cash reward for their splendid performance. Maharashtra had defeated Services 34-29 in the final.
Maharashtra won the nationals title after 11 years. Last time they had won the title in 2006. Team was led by Mumbai player Rishank Devadiga. Rishank was part of UP Yoddha in Pro Kabaddi League Season 5.

“Team has done a brilliant job, words are less for their appreciation, to continue same form, association and team management along with players should work hard and keep improving. We are delighted with team’s victory,” said former President of Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association Ajit Pawar.
