St Mathews Academy scores 11; Natt nets 7

St Mathews Academy rode on a 7-goal effort of Kunvarpal Natt to record a huge 11-0 win over Mount Mary School in the junior boys’ category in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament, at the De Nobilli College ground.

Pune: St Mathews Academy rode on a 7-goal effort of Kunvarpal Natt to record a huge 11-0 win over Mount Mary School in the junior boys’ category in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament, at the De Nobilli College ground.

St Mathews’ final score-line was by far the highest so far in the tournament and also was the first ten-plus score. Kunvarpal opened his account in the opening minute and added five more in the 8th, 16th, 22nd, 42nd, 46th and 48th minutes of the tournament. Harsh Malewar (3 goals) and Vedant Nikam rounded off the tally.

In the junior boys’ match, Sardar Dastur Hormazidar Co-Ed logged a 6-1 win over Loknete Yashwantrao Chavan English Medium School. Arsh Khan (1st) gave Dastur the lead and scored another in the 23rd minute. Kaushik Pardesh (10th), Anish Joshi (30th), Yash Chavan (41st) and Atif Shaikh (43rd) added a goal each.

For Loknete Yashwantrao Chavan English Medium School, Vijay Tomar (32nd) scored the lone goal.

In the Senior boys’ category, Anglo Urdu Boys High School defeated Boston World School 7-5 via the tie-breaker. 
Anglo Urdu had Sadique Shaikh (41th, 44th, 59th) lead the way, while Mann Bisht (20th); Manav Saheria (22nd), Gagan Khushaldasani (20th) reducded the margin for Boston.
