Pune: In an all Indian Oil final, Sparsh Pherwani scraped past seasoned Brijesh Damani 3-2 (64-24, 61-52, 54-66, 14-57, 72-62) to lift the individual snooker title at the 14th PSPB Inter Unit Billiards and Snooker Tournament being played at PYC Hindu Gymkhana here on Saturday.
Speaking after the win Sparsh said “The match was really good. I was playing very well and won the first two frames. In the fourth frame I lost by a big margin. In the decider lot in a tactical battle I was leading. On the yellow, he needed three snooker and he was successful in the giving all the snookers. I had bad misscue actually and hit the black also. So, he came into the game and potted all the balls, but he missed a pink on the cushion and he left from the pocket.”
