SKF India’s teams put on a good show clinching victories in the first round qualifiers of the Gothia Cup in progress at Gothenburg in Sweden .

Pune: SKF India’s teams put on a good show clinching victories in the first round qualifiers of the Gothia Cup in progress at Gothenburg in Sweden. Both the teams: Under-14 Boys and Under-12 Girls have won matches in their respective groups. The SKF India Boys team qualified for the quarter finals with a 6-1 win against Almhults IF.

As a part of Group 16, SKF India Boys team has till date played 4 games. The boys team have 4 points so far, with 2 wins, one draw and one loss.  The team played well with Tushar, Abhishek, Rohit and Akib scoring for the team.
The Under-12 SKF India Girls Team played 4 matches. They have won 2 games and lost 2 games  and have a total of 6 points so far. 

Anjali, Khushboo and Sapna have scored consistently against the opposing teams. Each year, SKF India provides children an avenue to compete at an international level by sponsoring two team from India to the Gothia Cup. Gothia Cup is the world’s largest tournament. 

Each year, around 1700 teams from 80 nations take part and they play 4500 games on 110 fields. Gothia Cup was first held in 1975 and the teams, and participants from around the world that make the tournament unique.
