Pune: Sinhgad Spring Dale Public School, Wadgaon (BK) defeated Abhinava Vidyalaya English Medium School, Erandawane by 23 runs in the main draw matches of the cricket event of Sakal presents Mapro Schoolympics in progress at ILS Law College Ground here on Saturday.
Batting first, Sinhgad Spring Dale Public School scored 82 runs for 6 wickets in 10 overs. Kaushal Beldare top scored for Sinhgad with 19 runs. Meanwhile Aryan Bangle was impressive when it came to the bowling department as he took three wickets giving away 10 runs.
Chasing the required target, Abhinava Vidyalaya English Medium School managed to score 59 runs for the loss of six wickets in 10 overs thus falling short of target.
In another match, Jai Hind High School & Jr. College, Pimpri defeated J.N Petit Technical High School, Bund Garden Road by nine wickets.
Batting first, the JN Petit boys scored 90 runs for the loss of two wickets in 10 overs. Sahil Naik remained not out scoring 26 runs which inluded three boundaries.
Chasing the required target, Jai Hind High School achieved the target scoring 91 runs for the loss of one wicket in 8 overs.
