Pune: State player Sammed Shete stunned International Master Satyapragyan Swayangsu to take the lead with 5 points at the end of the fifth round during the 15th Shri Maheshwaranand Saraswati Memorial All India Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament in Pune.

Maharashtra player Shete opened with king pawn move to outwit IM Satyapragyan Swayangsu from Odisha in 45 moves, which helped him move away from the bunch of following and lead with 5 points after the fifth round.

Meanwhile FM Vinay Kumar Matta from Andhra Pradesh 4.5 defeated International Master Abhishek Kelkar by 3.5 points
