Shah enters semi-finals

Second seed Mihika Rohira defeated seventh seed Pritha Vartikar 12-10, 11-9, 7-11, 9-11, 11-7 while Sampada Bhiwandkar who is seeded fourth defeated Ananya Chande with the score of 11-9, 11-8, 11-5

Pune: Sixth seeded Kheya Shah defeated third seed Samruddhi Kulkarni 11-9, 11-7, 11-5 to enter the semi-finals of the Sub Junior Girls Singles event of the 48th Inter District and 79th Maharashtra State Table Tennis Championship being played at the Balewadi Sports Complex on Sunday.

Second seed Mihika Rohira defeated seventh seed Pritha Vartikar 12-10, 11-9, 7-11, 9-11, 11-7 while Sampada Bhiwandkar who is seeded fourth defeated Ananya Chande with the score of 11-9, 11-8, 11-5.

Also advancing to the semi-finals was first seed Vidhi Shah who beat Swapnali Narle 9-11, 11-5, 11-3, 11-6.

In the Sub Junior Boys quarterfinal matches, second seed Dev Shroff got the better of seveth seed Rajveer Shah with the score reading 11-7, 11-3, 11-6.

In the other action of the day, Jash Modi beat Arush Galpalli 11-8, 9-11, 11-6, 11-3 while Maanav Mehta defeated  Karan Kukreja 11-4, 11-9, 11-3 followed by first seed Deepit Patil who beat Ritvik Nagle 11-3, 11-9, 12-10.

The Sub Junior Girls quarterfinals witnessed first seed Vidhi Shah getting past Swapnali Narle 9-11, 11-5, 11-3, 11-6 while fourth seed Sampada Bhiwandkar was in good form as she defeated Ananya Chande with the score reading 11-9, 11-8, 11-5 to advance further.
