Sarvodaya Vidyalaya clinches KBD Jr title

New Delhi: Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya became the KBD Juniors champion beating Modern School Barakhamba Road, 37-11 in the final at Thyagaraj Sports Complex here.

It was certainly an inspired performance from Sarvodaya School, who bested their peers in every department of the game in the three matches they played to win the trophy.

In all, a total of 8 city schools competed to build and keep the excitement circling Pro Kabaddi League in an effort to salute India’s home grown sport and take it to the masses.

In the semi-finals Sarvodaya defeated Ramjas School 33-2 and Modern School scrapped past Don Bosco School 15-13.

The other schools who participated in the KBD Juniors were Bharti Public School, Tagore International School, Bal Bhavan Public School, and ITL Public School.

With champions in Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kolkata, Sonipat, Ranchi and now New Delhi, KBD Juniors will next move to Chennai for the faceoff between 8 schools to be crowned KBD Juniors – Chennai Champions.

Results:
Final: Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya beat Modern School, Barakhamba Road, 37-11.
Semifinals: Sarvodaya beat Ramjas School 33-2; Modern beat Don Bosco School 15-13.
Quarterfinals: Ramjas beat ITL Public School 31-7; Sarvodaya beat Bal Bhavan Public School 32-3; Don Bosco beat Tagore International School 22-11; Modern bt Bharti Public School 25-4.
