Pune: Sardar Dastur girls defeated Cross Over 42-17 in the quarterfinals of the 14 th Late Indirabai Joshi Memorial Under-18 Girikand Cup District Basketball Championship in progress at Deccan Gymkhana on Saturday.
Sardar Dastur were in total control right from the start as they led with the score of 19-6 at half time. Sudhiksha Nair top scored for Dastur with 17 points while Tanvi Salve chipped in with 8 points. For Cross Over, Khushi Sanghvi scored 10 points.
In another quarterfinal match, Deccan Gymkhana Club ‘A’ defeated Ideal 41-30 to enter the semifinals. Arya Riswadkar (12) and Radhika Parikh (7) got on the scoreline for the hosts.
For Ideal Oshin Ajnikar scored 12 points and Sai Jagtap scored 6 points.
Later Chondhe Patil Academy got past opponents Bishop’s with the score reading 34-24. Saae Bramhankar (12) and Devashree Pate (8) got on the scoreline for Chonde Patil Academy while Shivanjali Pandit (10) and Jyotsana Bhutra (4) scored for Bishop’s.
In the boys section. Abhinav beat VOBA 55-54 in extra time after the scores was 46-46 at full time.
