Pune: Anglo Urdu Boys High School defeated Callum High School 4-0 to advance in the Under-17 boys category of the Subroto Mukherjee Cup football competition in progress at SSPMS ground here on Wednesday.
Sandip Sundaram scored thrice in the 4th, 7th and 20th minutes. Meanwhile Fahad Shaikh added one goal to the tally in the 13th minute.
In another match, JN Petit High School beat The Orbis School, Mundhwa 3-0. Aniket Sathe scored two goals in the 7th and 11th minutes while Devendra Jain scored once in the 15th minute.
Meanwhile Angel Mickie Minie School defeated hosts SSPMS Day 1-0 with the lone goal being scored by Yash Mohite in the 16th minute.
In other action, Vidya Niketan High School, Bibwewadi defeated Vishwashanti Gurukul 2-0 to enter the next round.
Darshan Dhulap scored the first goal in the 13th minute while Rajat Chaudhari scored the second in the 18th minute. Also registering a win was Vibgyor High School, NIBM who defeated Indian Education Academy 2-0. Ahmed Azami (8th) and Kinan Fernandes (10th) got on the scoreline for the winners.
In the Under-14 category, Vibgyor High School, NIBM defeated Angel Mickie Minie School 5-0 in the second round. Hamza Khureshi scored thrice in the 5th, 13th and 23rd minutes while Vansh Keyur and Aditya Sareen scored one each in the 11th and 19th minutes.
Vikhe Patil Memorial High School dominated as they beat SNBP High School 5-0. Siddharth Ghodke (4th,9th), Aarav Bharadwaj (8th, 13th) and Naval Chordiya (18th) got on the scoreline for the Vikhe Patil boys.
