Sai International Marathon on February 11

Pune: The holy town of Shirdi is all set to witness its first ever marathon as the Sai International Marathon is scheduled to take place on February 11.

Organised by the Champ Endurance team, the marathon will be held in categories which include 3 km,  5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km. 

The event will offer a total prize money of Rs 10,00,000/-. The run will begin at Dwarawati Bhaktiniwas and will go till Kakadi Village (Airport Road) and back.

The highlight of the marathon is that a Guinness World Record will be attempted for the largest barefoot race for which the registration is free.

All the participants will receive a finishers medal, breakfast, T Shirt, Goody Bag and a timing bib. Around 800 plus registrations have already been received from runners across the country and a total of 15,000 runners are expected for the event which includes at least 15 international elite runners.
